Catching up with the work that I won't get done this weekend as I'm away! - As you might expect there is quite a lot of work with an engineering degree. This tends to increase as you go through the years, in first year all that is required is that you keep up to date with lectures and do the tutorial sheets given out to accompany lectures. By third year you are expected to take a more independent approach, you might have to get a textbook and do some work to understand a lecture or read around the subject. In addition, in third year you have much more project work, which doesn't have any formal time slots, so you need to be organised to meet with your group and sort out working time slots.
