Geotechnical Engineering Lecture
Geotechnical engineering is such an important knowledge area for a civil engineer. During this term we learn about soils, how to classify them and how they behave in order to be able to use them in our engineering design. This module helps us to understand soils and to use this knowledge when designing foundations for buildings and protections against coastal erosions and landslides. It includes some geology and plenty of calculations. The lectures are taught by a great lecturer with a sense of humour. Everything is explained clearly and there are lots of case studies from real projects. Now I know why the Tower of Pisa is tilted!
